Robert C. Redding: Family Law Private Judge, Mediator, Settlement Officer and Advocate

Mr. Redding practices exclusively in the area of family law. He has practiced in this field for more than 40 years. He has been a Certified Specialist in Family Law through the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 1987.  His decades of experience allow him to provide valuable insight and guidance to his clients, navigating them through difficult decisions and contested litigation when necessary.  Mr. Redding advocates strongly for his clients, while simultaneously negotiating settlements where possible.

In addition to representing clients in family law matters, a substantial part of Mr. Redding’s practice focuses on mediation, private judging, and private settlement officer conferences.  In this role, he seeks to help clients resolve their disputes while minimizing litigation.

Mr. Redding has been given the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards through a peer review rating process managed and monitored by Martindale-Hubbell®.

For many years, he has been recognized among the top lawyers by the Northern California Super Lawyers. Mr. Redding has also been listed in the Best Lawyers for Family Law in America, was listed by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2019 as one of the 10 best family law attorneys in California, and was listed by the Northern California Best Lawyers as San Jose Family Law Lawyer of the Year in 2019.
